Welcome!
Welcome to the Digital Portfolio of Stephany Alyse Soto!
Before you being to browse through the contents of my portfolio, I would like to briefly introduce myself.
I am a 5th grade Bilingual Math and Science Teacher at Rodriguez Elementary School in Austin ISD.
I graduated from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX May of 2009 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Bilingual Education (4-8) as well as a minor in music.
I was born and raised in El Paso, TX and moved to Denton, TX to pursue a college education and expand my horizons and views beyond what was already known in my hometown.
I share a passion for languages and cultures of all types, as well as a love for working with people — more specifically, young adults. These passions, along with my desire to make a positive contribution to society are what propelled my decision in studying Bilingual Education.
Having been introduced to the appreciation and art of music at a very young age, I pursued a minor in that very subject. Doing so not only expanded my knowledge on a subject I truly admire, but has also taught me the importance of extracurricular activities in my life, and thus a classroom setting.
A few of my interests include: reading, traveling, working out, and spending time with my friends and family.
One of my main ambitions in life is to make a difference– in my personal life, my education, and in my classroom.
